story:

"Come quickly, the egg we have been waiting for has begun to hatch," said the chundan.When the baby bird came out from the egg, it started crying. After that, they both (chundan and peely) went to hunt their prey. They were unknowingly going a long way, sharing their joy together. In the meanwhile, they went in search of prey in many ways. Then Peely called out loudly "Chunda" Chundan as well as "Peely where are you".

"I'm here," Peely said. How could they see each other among the poor lots of birds, but hear each other.Then a gunshot was heard. Then all the birds flew away in fear, and then they could see each other. As they look, a man stands with a gun.

"പെട്ടെന്ന് വാ പീലി പക്ഷി  നമ്മൾ കാത്തിരുന്ന മുട്ട വിരിയാറായി"ചുണ്ടൻ പക്ഷി പറഞ്ഞു.രണ്ടുപേരും നോക്കി നിൽക്കേ രണ്ടു മുട്ടയിൽ ഒരു മുട്ട വിരിയുന്നു,

വിരിഞ്ഞ കുഞ്ഞു കിളി പുറത്തുവന്നതോടെ കരയാൻ തുടങ്ങി അപ്പോൾ അമ്മ കിളി (പീലി) കൊണ്ടുവന്നഇര കുഞ്ഞിക്കിളിയുടെ വായിലേക്ക് വെച്ചു കൊടുത്തു. അതിനുശേഷം അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും (ചുണ്ടനും, പീലിയും) ഇരതേടാൻ പോയി. അവർ ഒത്തൊരുമയോടെ സന്തോഷം പങ്കുവെച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഒരുപാട് ദൂരം അവർ അറിയാതെ പോയിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ഇതിനിടയിൽ ഇരയെ തേടി തേടി പല വഴിയായി. അപ്പോൾ പീലി ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചു "ചുണ്ടാ" ചുണ്ടനും അതുപോലെ ഉറക്കെ "പീലി എവിടെയാണു നീ" എന്നു വിളിച്ചു.

"ഞാനിവിടെയുണ്ട്"പീലി പറഞ്ഞു. പാവം ഒത്തിരി കിളികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ അവർ എങ്ങനെ പരസ്പരം കാണും, എന്നാൽ പരസ്പരം കേൾക്കാം.അപ്പോഴാണ് ഒരു വെടി ശബ്ദം കേട്ടത്. അപ്പോൾ അവിടെയുള്ള കിളികൾ എല്ലാം ഭയം കൊണ്ട് പറന്നുയർന്നു, അപ്പോൾ അവരെ പരസ്പരം കാണാൻ സാധിച്ചു. അവർ നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ തോക്കുമായി നിൽക്കുന്നു.

"It's a hunter," they told each other. When they saw him, they were both terrified and flew. So while flying. The next shot was fired. Peely cried and shouted "Chunda" Chundan was shot and fell down. The chundan said in a stunned voice, "You have to look after our little birds. If you leave soon, you too will be shot." The chundan dead. When Peely cried and flew away sadly and went to the Nest with the prey. The view there was horrible. No nest, no little birds, no nesting tree. Only a few men cut down the tree. Unable to bear the grief, he flew around the tree and asks the human race."Where is my world?" Said Peely, who was crying, heard an unexpected voice say, "I'm your chundan, you must still live." She looked up at the sky and felt like the sky was chundan. "I'm still alive," she said aloud in a stunned voice.

"അത് വേട്ടക്കാരൻ ആണ് " അവർ പരസ്പരം പറഞ്ഞു. അയാളെ കണ്ടതോടെ അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും പേടിച്ചു പറക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അങ്ങനെ പറന്നു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ. അടുത്ത വെടി ശബ്ദം.പീലി കരഞ്ഞു വിളിച്ചു "ചുണ്ടാ"ചുണ്ടന് വെടിയേറ്റു പിടഞ്ഞു വീണു കിടക്കുകയാണ്. ചുണ്ടൻ ഇടറിയ ശബ്ദത്തോടെ പറഞ്ഞു"നീ നമ്മളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ നോക്കണം.പെട്ടന്ന് പോയിക്കോ നിനക്കും വെടിയേൽക്കും. എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ചുണ്ടൻ വിടവാങ്ങി. പീലി കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് സങ്കടത്തോടെ പറന്നു ഇരയും കൊണ്ട് കൂട്ടിലേക്ക് പോയപ്പോൾ. അവിടെ കണ്ടകാഴ്ച ഭയാനകമായിരുന്നു. കൂടും ഇല്ല, കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളും ഇല്ല, കൂടുെവെച്ച മരവുമില്ല. മരം മുറിച്ച് കുറേ മനുഷ്യർ മാത്രം. സങ്കടം സഹിക്കാൻ വയ്യാതെ കിളി മരം നിന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് ചുറ്റി മനുഷ്യരാശിയോട് ചോദിക്കുകയാണ്."എന്റെ ലോകം എവിടെ?". ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന പീലി ഒരു അപ്രതീക്ഷിത ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു"ഞാൻ ചുണ്ടൻ നീ ഇനിയും ജീവിക്കണം",അവൾ ആകാശത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി ആകാശം ചുണ്ടനെ പോലെ അവൾക്ക് തോന്നി. ഇടറിയ ശബ്ദത്തോടെ അവൾ ഉറക്കെ പറഞ്ഞു "ഞാൻ ഇനിയും ജീവിക്കും".
